Ginger Truitt’s award-winning column appears weekly in central Indiana newspapers, and she garners a large online readership. She has also been published in church newsletters, her high school newspaper, and most notably, the Barry Manilow fan club magazine.

Wife of one and mother of five, Ginger spends most of her time homeschooling, changing diapers, and cooking for a family that insists on eating every single day. In her “spare time” she enjoys hosting parties, attending church functions, researching genealogy, playing the upright bass for her family’s bluegrass group, and collecting hymnals. Sometimes, late at night, she takes out the sparkly tiara she won as Mrs. Boone County and wears it while surfing the web.

She boasts an impressive array of refrigerator magnets from her various travels and an equally impressive collection of dust bunnies from all the places her broom has never traveled. Although not particularly an animal lover, she has a wide assortment of farm critters, which is a given when you homeschool five children in Indiana.

Ginger has also been known to take the platform and engage audiences with her witty stories, thought provoking insights, and general ability to make people laugh.
